Education isn’t just about learning stuff; it’s about giving power to people, helping society grow, and making sure everyone has a chance to do well. But the old way of teaching has inadvertently excluded certain groups, keeping them from doing their best. In recent years, however, there has been a growing recognition of the need for inclusive education – an approach that embraces diversity, celebrates individuality, and ensures equitable access to learning for all.
In April, amidst the vibrant energy of Osogbo, We had a one day workshop at the Local Government Service Commission Hall. Educators from different schools converged to embark on a journey towards redefining education through inclusivity. This event wasn’t just another gathering; it was a catalyst for change, a beacon of hope for a more equitable educational landscape.
Meet Our Speakers

The most exciting part of the event was definitely when Mr.Gbemikaiye Kelvin, a Psychologist, and Mr Favour Samuel, an expert in Special Education, gave their keynote address. They both spoke with passion and wisdom, holding the audience’s attention as they talked about creating classrooms where every student feels accepted and supported. Drawing on their experience working with students who have different abilities, they emphasized how important it is to make sure everyone feels included in school.
