Empowering Educators: Highlights from Our March Mentorship Program

In March 2025, the Child Wellbeing Initiative successfully concluded its 5-week FREE Mentorship Program for Educators, equipping over 25 passionate teachers across Osun State with the knowledge and tools needed to foster inclusive classrooms where every child can thrive.

Over the course of five impactful weeks, participants engaged in hands-on training, peer learning, and real-time strategies to support children with learning differences and behavioral challenges. The sessions were facilitated by experienced special educators and child development experts, focusing on:

  • Identifying and supporting neurodiverse learners

  • Creating safe, inclusive learning environments

  • Positive behavior management

  • Collaborating with parents and communities

“This program has changed the way I see my students. I now understand how to support every child, not just the ones who learn quickly,” shared a participating teacher.

The mentorship program is part of our ongoing effort to build a more inclusive education system in Nigeria, starting with the people who make the biggest impact—teachers.

We are grateful to all our facilitators, volunteers, and supporters who made this possible.
