Building Confidence Through Creativity: A Fun Outreach at Salvation Army Primary School
Art activities like painting and crafting are more than just fun—they play a vital role in a child's development. By giving children the freedom to use colors to create something meaningful to them, we’re helping them build essential cognitive skills such as critical thinking, attention and focus, problem-solving, and memory. The creative process also nurtures their imagination, enhances their creativity, and boosts their self-esteem, as they take pride in the artwork they produce.
We saw firsthand how engaged the children were as they carefully crafted their bracelets and painted with vibrant colors. These activities are more than just an outlet for expression; they support visual identification and memory building as well, as the children connected their creations to personal experiences and feelings.
We are extremely grateful to @sipnpaint9ja for collaborating with us to make this outreach possible. Their support was invaluable, and we couldn’t have done it without them. The success of this outreach reaffirms the importance of giving children opportunities to express themselves through art. It’s an investment in their growth, development, and future success.
